WHERE IS KRISTA SCHUMACHER ART GALLERY?

Krista Schumacher Art Gallery is temporarily closed as we transition to a new space. We are making some changes! Stay tuned for updates on a new location and a reopening date.

We are so thankful for 3 years on Wall Street. The gallery has been filled with so many wonderful memories. It has been an honor to be voted the best art gallery in La Jolla for 2023 & 2024. We can't wait to see you again!

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE AN ORIGINAL?

Original paintings can be purchased online.

We also offer private in-home viewings for clients in Southern California.

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

Shipping costs vary depending on the size of the painting. For shipping within the continental United States, shipping is included for petite work and print orders. For medium sized paintings (577 to 1,200 sq. in.) shipping is $550. For large sized paintings (1,201 sq. in. to 2,304 sq. in.) shipping is $850. For paintings or commissions larger than 2,305 sq. in., please reach out to info@kristaschumacherart.com for a quote.

For shipments outside the continental United States, please contact us directly for a quote. Krista Schumacher Art Gallery ships internationally.

Our team also offers delivery options for collectors in the Southern California area. For clients in San Diego County, the delivery and installation is included. For clients in the Los Angeles / Palm Desert area, the delivery is $650.

DOES KRISTA PAINT CUSTOM WORKS?

DOES KRISTA SELL PRINTS?

Yes! The print collection consists of 50 prints, with different size variations, and the option to have the print matted and framed in three different colors: white, silver, or natural wood. All prints are premium archival luster paper, with a matte smooth finish. Please allow for 7-10 business days for production and delivery. Free shipping is included for all print orders. COMMISSION FAQ

WHAT IS A COMMISSION?

A commission is a custom work of art created specifically for the client. To learn more about commission, click here.

WHAT SUBJECTS CAN BE COMMISSIONED?

Schumacher only accepts landscape and abstract commissions. The commission can be inspired by an existing painting or a client’s photograph.

ARE COMMISSIONS FRAMED?

Commission prices include our exclusive warm silver leaf floater frame. Other frame options (black, white, natural wood, etc.) are possible for an additional fee. Frames typically add 2 inches to the canvas size.

WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR A CUSTOM COMMISSION?

Prices are around $3.70 per square inch.

HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING FOR A CUSTOM COMMISSION?

IS THERE A DEPOSIT?

There is a 50% refundable deposit. The deposit is refundable at any point of the commission process, and can either be canceled by Schumacher or the client. The remaining half shall be paid upon completion of the painting. Krista Schumacher will send an invoice electronically, which can be paid with a credit card, check, and/or cash. Paypal and Venmo are also accepted forms of payment.

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE?

After the 50% deposit is received, the client is added to the commission wait list. Schumacher works on commissions in the order they are received. Currently, the commission turnaround time is between 3-6 months.
